The 32 men arrested ranged in age from 19 to 63. All 32 of the men arrested allegedly showed up at a vacation home in Lake County, Florida supposedly expecting to have sex with a child.

Arrest reports indicate some arrived bearing gifts and candy. One of the men arrested allegedly brought two young children of his own.

According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, each time a suspect arrived at the door of the home detectives on the inside were waiting to make the cuff.

As of Tuesday night, some of the suspects remain in jail and all men face felony charges. If convicted, the men could all face up to 25 years in prison.

With the airing of Dateline NBC’s “To Catch A Predator,” Internet sex stings have been in place to catch supposed criminals looking for sex with a fictitious child created by law enforcement officials. The spotlight has been flashed on alleged sexual crimes via the web and the public is quick to jump the gun and conclude the person guilty of being a deviant and sexual predator. These stings and the show “To Catch A Predator” airs these people in the worst possible light and usually portrays their behavior as heinous before even questioning whether their actions and manners could be the result of entrapment, when their conduct is stimulated by the undercover officer’s performance.

Being arrested and accused of a child Internet sex crime is often interpreted by the public as reason enough to convict the accused as guilty. However, any person in Florida accused of a criminal charge has the right to be regarded as innocent until proven guilty in the criminal justice system. Being arrested and accused of a child cyber crime can be devastating to one’s life and reputation, and to be able to clear their name it is imperative to hire a well-informed Internet Sex Crimes Defense Attorney.
