Pinellas County Neurosurgeon Accused of Sexually Battery on Patient

A Pinellas County neurosurgeon was recently accused of sexual battery on a female patient.

According to a Clearwater Police investigation, the patient was alone with the doctor in an exam room and was told to lie on her stomach.

The patient claims that during the back examination, the doctor sexually battered her.

When the patient questioned the man, she said he told her he was “checking for scar tissue.”

She claims the man forcefully kissed her.

The doctor allegedly admitted to initiating the sexual contact during police questioning.

The doctor was arrested early Wednesday morning and is now out of jail on $50,000 bond.
