Feds Allege NC Man Forced Girl to Sell Herself for Sex in Orlando

A 27-year-old North Carolina man has been arrested for allegedly forcing a girl to sell herself for sex in his hometown, Atlanta and Orlando.

The Charlotte, N.C. man was recently indicted on a charge of transportation of a minor for prostitution, according to U.S. Attorney A. Lee Bentley.

The man faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years and as much as life in federal prison if convicted.

Records allege the man took the girl from Georgia to Florida for the sex trade in April.

Records claim the man allegedly forced the minor to work as a prostitute for approximately two months by having her walk the streets and by advertising her services on the Internet. The man apparently kept all of the money earned by the victim and used it for himself and the victim’s expenses.
