South Florida Sex Crimes Lawyer :: Fort Lauderdale Employee Faces Four Felony Child Porn Charges

A Fort Lauderdale city employee has been placed on administrative leave after being arrested Friday for allegedly looking at child pornography in his car in a McDonald’s parking lot.

He faces four felony charges.

Investigators claim they were responding to a tip on Friday at around 2 a.m. when the man was apparently found viewing child porn on a computer in his car.

According to police, the man admitted to looking at child porn since December.

A spokesman for the city of Fort Lauderdale confirmed the man has worked as a city building inspector since 2006.

Child pornography charges are quite serious. The penalties for these types of charges, whether charged in state or federal court, will increase as the amount of images possessed increase. People often fail to realize the stern consequences that can result by simply possessing even a small amount of images on their personal computer. By simply clicking your mouse, you could be facing multiple years behind bars and be required to register as a sex offender.
