Venice Man Accused of Raping Knocked-Out Minor

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 33-year-old man and charged him with sexual battery on a person older than 12 while the victim was physically incapacitated, contributing to delinquency of a minor and resisting arrest without violence.

Detectives interviewed a young girl at Venice Regional Medical Center over the weekend who claims that the Venice, FL man drank beer with her, gave her pills and had sex with her while she was passed out in his apartment on Saturday.

The man remains in the Sarasota County jail on more than a $100,000 bond.
