Marion County Man Accused of Molesting Three Sisters

A 64-year-old man was taken into custody Thursday and transported to the Marion County Jail in Ocala for allegedly molesting three girls on and off between 2007 and 2011.

According to authorities, the three girls, ages 10, 12 and 14, are sisters.

The man was charged with one count of capital sexual battery, three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and one count of lewd and lascivious conduct.

According to arrest reports, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received reports about the alleged incidents in July.

The victims supposedly told detectives that the alleged molestations occurred at the man’s home; one girl said the man molested her in the shower. They have accused him of showing them pornographic films as well.

The man has denied all accusations and reportedly told police if any touching occurred, it was accidental.

If convicted of capital sexual battery, this man has only one available punishment for this crime, life in prison with no possibility of parole. This type of sex crime is extremely serious and usually offers no pre-trial release to those accused because it is viewed by the state as a dangerous crime.

When someone is accused of child molestation, ideally a defense should be investigated and implemented right away. When a law enforcement agency, police department or even a social services agency contacts a person of interest regarding accusations of child molestation it tends to mean that they have enough potential evidence to pursue an investigation. When this happens, the accused should seek legal representation immediately.

It is important to keep in mind that in child molestation cases, people tend to believe the child even if the allegations brought up are false. Sometimes people think they can prove their innocence by cooperating with law enforcement and answering their questions. However, this is a mistake because anything you say to them will be used against you; your words can be easily twisted by their attempts to prove your guilt. Do not give any statements to police or any other type of investigating agency without the presence of an attorney.
