Being charged with solicitation, assignation or prostitution as a part of an online undercover sex trap can leave you feeling ashamed, embarrassed and scared for how the outcome of the arrest will impact your future. In these types of stings for prostitution rings, escort services or erotic massage facilities, undercover deputies are trained to entice and entrap people into performing acts that they did not plan to do and they are well-versed in their techniques. The consequences of a solicitation or prostitution conviction can include a variety of punishments including, jail time, fines or fees, obligatory HIV testing, mandatory AIDS seminars and even loss of employment.

After being arrested for prostitution or solicitation it is important to hire a skilled Florida Sex Crimes Defense Attorney to challenge any evidence collected from an undercover sting operation. There can be numerous details of your case that need to be investigated properly, such as if the initial contact made by law enforcement was legal, if your rights were properly explained to you at the time of arrest, if the taping of the sting was recorded with adequate sound quality so that what was transpired in the alleged meeting can be heard, if the decoy deputy was the same person who wrote the report and if the officer’s behavior coerced you to say or do something you normally would not.
