Robert G. Whittel is a Gainesville sex crimes defense attorney who is also a Naval Reserve Officer. After attending and graduating from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Long Island, New York, Mr. Whittel went on to get his law degree and MBA in finance from the University of Florida. 

After graduation from the University of Florida, Mr. Whittel initially practiced law at a large international law firm and then moved on to work as a criminal prosecutor. While a prosecutor, attorney Whittel was offered the opportunity to study international law at Cambridge University in England, which he readily accepted.
